Candlemass introduced the term 'Doom Metal' upon an unsuspecting world with the 1986 album 'Epicus, Doomicus, Metallcius'. EPIC DOOM METAL. No-onecould describe it better. Take some evil crunchy Sabbath riffs, some H.R. Geiger moods, the power of a Sherman Tank plus a touch of Wagner!  To say they are unique and they invented a whole new genre is an understatement. They remain one of the most mythic groups of all times. "From The 13th Sun"is the band's eighth studio album and can only be described as super heavy, dark and doomy but brutally loud. In order to get into the spirit of the record, Candlemass holed themselves up in a rehearsal studio for three months to get a clear writing process. The idea was to go back to the very roots of heavy rock. To try and catch that special 70's atmosphere with big reverbs and superdry guitars not to mention that they have been downtuned. Nothing was left to chance. Every rehearsal was recorded. Everything had to be perfect. And so it is!
