2000 'Motherwar'
This truly is Metal - The logo says Metal. The artwork screams Metal. The album title oozes Metal. The sound drips Metal. Yet DISPATCHED is not just another Metal band; DISPATCHED is the definitive Metal band. You have certainly got to be brave to include Mozart in one of your songs, a sense of irony and humour is also going to help, and DISPATCHED have both of these in abundance. The sheer power and extravagance of all of the songs on their MFN debut album 'Motherwar', prove that the band have the attitude, delusions and desire to compete with the best.

Most bands go through various changes in their lifetime, and DISPATCHED are no different. The DISPATCHED of the year 2000 are almost entirely different from the DISPATCHED of 1991, the only connecting factor being guitarist Daniel Lundberg. Formed in (yes, you guessed it - the current home of prolific heavy rock music) Sweden at the very beginning of the nineties, the band changed their line up many times over the years until finally, in September 1997, the current line-up was complete.

Armed with this new line-up, they locked themselves away in the band rehearsal room for many months to get themselves ready to record. The result was the mini CD "Promised Land" (released through a small German label, just shy of Christmas '98), recorded with whizz-kid producer, Tommy Tägtgren at Abyss Studio B in Sweden. Tommy has been involved with various albums including the production of Raise Hell for Nuclear Blast; Natron, Thurfing and Dark Funeral; and helping out with some Hypocrisy recording sessions. Tägtgren is currently one of the most influential names in the metal genre, with brother Peter Tägtgren of Hypocrisy and his famed Abyss Studio A is renowned for his production work with Borknagar, Marduk, Old Man's Child and Dimmu Borgir to name but a few.

That was then; this is now. Sweden's best-kept secret have now been picked up by legendary metal label Music For Nations, and the five guys who once collectively made up the band DISPATCHED have morphed into the ultimate Heavy-Metal Machine. With their latest release, 'Motherwar' (again recorded with Tommy Tägtgren at Abyss Studio B), DISPATCHED have produced the metal album for the new century. From the title track 'Motherwar' right through to their cover of Europe's 80's classic 'The Final Countdown', they attack your mind with their relentless wall of sonic noise.

They'll rip you up, tear you down and slay your entire family with their heady mixture of melodies, machine-gun drums and classic metal riffage. Metal played DISPATCHED style; the way metal was meant to be be. THE FUTURE OF METAL IS HERE, PREPARE TO BE AMAZED, PREPARE TO BE...DISPATCHED.
