"Imagine, if you're hard enough, Sepultura, Korn, Neurosis and Clutch on a rollercoaster ride to hell, and you're still not even close to Will Haven" Kerrang!

1995 found four best friends in Sacramento, California, starting a band. With members in place, choosing a name proved simple enough by conjuring a fictitious character William Haven. The group worked hard touring all over the west coast of the USA supporting everyone from the Beastie Boys to Earth Crisis. They released a self titled seven song EP in 1996, selling it through mail-order and at shows. They sold several thousand copies of this and from then on interest in the band was overwhelming.

1997 marked the turning point in Will Haven's career. El Diablo, their first full length album was championed by virtually every loud music critic whilst Chino Moreno of the Deftones Max Cavalera of Soulfly were among many of the musicians singing its praises. "They're definitely one of my favourite bands right now! Check it out for yourself!" - Max Cavalera. Almost immediately, the scorchingly evil album shot into the top five both in the CMJ Loud Rock Radio Chart and in many American rock magazines. In conjunction with rave reviews across Europe too, the quartet completed several hugely successful stints on the road including a US tour with the Deftones and Limp Bizkit and as support for the Deftones in Europe.

Fresh off a summer tour with Soulfly, Will Haven were ready to take on the worked once again. 1999 proved just as memorable with the long awaited, follow-up. 'WHVN'. Recorded and produced by Eric Stenman (also responsible for El Diablo) and mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap (Machine Head, Testament, Earth Crisis). 'WHVN' is a sonic pummelling of metal-hardcore-noise that rivals virtually any other album that dares to call itself "heavy". Make no mistake, Will Haven has destroyed all musical boundaries this time and 'WHVN' is destined to be one of the all-time classic albums of its kind.
